I'm back...I think?

It's been a really long time since I did anything with this blog.  The last time I posted, I still lived in Texas.  Now I'm approaching my one year anniversary of moving back to California!   There have been lots of changes in my life, not all of them positive, but I can't complain:  It's good to be back with family.

I don't know how much I'll be keeping up with this blog, but I'm going to try to post more than once every two years.  I want to get my craft back on and hoping to start posting more cards.  At this point I don't have a fancy camera or set up, but I'll do what I can with what I have.

So what better re-inaugural than to post the Father's Day card I made for my dad?  (I made a simpler version for my brother, but had to send it out before I got a chance to photograph it).

I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Little Letters die and cut Stampin' Up's Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the lettering.  I used that for the card base, as well.  Using a retired DSP, Well Worn, I cut panels using Paper Smooches Quotables dies (www.papersmoochesstamps.com).  The owl is from PS's Hooties stamp set and the others are from their Party Posse set.  I used Prismacolor pencils with oderless mineral spirits to color the stamps.  Finally, I punched 1.25" square windows so the critters could peek through.  The dots on the letters were made using the Signo Uniball white gel pen.

Thanks for looking!  I hope you and yours have a great Father's Day!

I submitted this card to Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.
